SEX ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested a 26-year-old woman and charged her with forcing a 12-year-old boy to engage in sexual intercourse with her. Police said the victim was approached by the woman, who forced him into her apartment in the 100 block of Aisquith St. There, police said, the boy was forced to have sex with the woman. After the boy was released, he reported the incident to a relative. Later, police investigated and charged Veronica Parker with sexual assault. Police said Parker was held overnight at the women's detention center pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Members of the Waters AME Church in the 400 block of Aisquith St. reported that someone hid inside their church between Sunday afternoon and early Monday and stole money from an office desk drawer before escaping out a window.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone broke a window in the Jefferson Financial firm in the 1400 block of E. Lombard St. over the weekend and stole office equipment valued at nearly $2,500.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Wanda Harris, 33, of the 800 block of Park Ave., reported she was walking in the 400 block of N. Gay St. yesterday afternoon when she was approached from the rear by a man who stole more than $100 worth of food stamps she was carrying in her hands. Police said Harris was slightly injured when she struggled with the man.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of S. Potomac St. reported that someone broke into her home through a side window and stole a VCR and a cassette player, together valued at $800.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Wanda Black, 26, of the 6400 block of Pulaski Highway, reported she was in the 1900 block of E. Pratt St. Sunday night when she was assaulted by a man who grabbed her around the neck and robbed her of $25 in cash and a pack of cigarettes. Police said a 23-year-old resident of the 200 block of S. Patterson Park Ave. is being sought.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Two couples walking in the 200 block of S. Exeter St. early Sunday reported they were robbed by two men, one armed with a handgun. Police said Neil Vocke, 22, an out-of-town resident, was robbed of $42; Lisa Wiseman, 22, and Kim Tai, both of the first block of Thurmont Court in Putty Hill, were robbed of a total of $35, and Christopher Pulaski, of the 300 block of Gusryan St., was robbed of $25.

RAPE: Southeastern District -- Police today were seeking a man in the rape of a 51-year-old woman on the grounds of a school in the 600 block of N. Central Ave. Police said the woman was walking near the school about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when a man with a handgun forced her to accompany him to a dark area on the grounds, where he raped her. The woman was treated at Francis Scott Key Medical Center.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of N. Calhoun St. reported that someone broke into her home through rear window and stole a 19-inch TV set, a 13-inch TV and a VCR, all valued at $700.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Ronald Johnson, of the 300 block of Baker St., reported he was in the 2100 block of N. Dukeland St. when he was attacked by a man who struck him several times with a piece of metal pipe. Johnson was taken to the Liberty Medical Center for treatment. Police were seeking a 45-year-old man known to Johnson.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that Frank Bates, of the 4400 block of LaPlata Ave., was in the 1500 block of W. Baltimore St. when three men accosted him, struck him with their fists and robbed him of his wallet containing more than $100.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said Craig Smith, of the 500 block of Archer St., was admitted to the University of Maryland Medical Center after being shot in the left leg during an attempted armed robbery in the 1600 block of W. Lexington St. Police said a man with a handgun accosted Smith and ordered him to give up his jacket. Smith refused and began to walk away, but the gunman shot him and fled.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police reported that a woman broke into the Tuerk House, a treatment center in the 700 block of Ashburton St., and was arrested. Police said the woman was being held at the women's detention center at the Central District station pending formal charges and a bail hearing.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Alice White, of the 2600 block of Robert St., told police she was in the 2100 block of Druid Hill Ave. when she was assaulted by two men who pushed her to the ground and robbed her of property and cash, all valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that property valued at nearly $400 was stolen from a house in the 2500 block of Hollins St. after someone gained entry by forcing a rear door.
