Officer due hearing in theft

A four-year veteran officer of the Baltimore County Police Department faced a suspension hearing today on a misdemeanor charge of stealing a part to a Honda motorcycle this summer.

Officer Donald Louis Fields, 26, of the White Marsh Precinct, was charged yesterday with theft of a plastic cover that protects electrical components of a motorcycle engine. The item was taken at 5 a.m. Aug. 23 from a motorcycle parked in the 8600 block of Castle Mill Circle in Perry Hall, police said.
