Charles A. Doub Biology teacher

A Mass of Christian burial for Charles A. Doub, a Baltimore County educator for 38 years and a Glen Arm resident, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Ursula's Roman Catholic Church, 8800 Harford Road, Parkville.

Mr. Doub, who was 81, died Thursday of heart failure at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Born in Williamsport, Mr. Doub received his bachelor's degree in education from Gettysburg College in 1931 and his master's degree from the University of Maryland in 1939. He received a professional diploma from Columbia University in New York in 1956.

Mr. Doub, a biology teacher, worked in the St. Mary's County school system from 1932 to 1937, when he was hired by Baltimore County public schools. He also worked in the school system's administrative offices before retiring in 1976.

Mr. Doub's interests included international travel, and he visited 55 countries. He also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Stoekl; a sister, Ruth Doub Clise of Lonaconing; and many nieces and nephews.
