Glen Burnie man robbed, shot in South Baltimore

A 25-year-old man from Anne Arundel County was shot in the neck and robbed of his wallet early yesterday near a South Baltimore hospital by three people, including a teen-ager riding a bicycle, police reported.

William Michael, 25, of the 200 block of Wellham Avenue in Glen Burnie, told police he was walking south in the 3000 block of Potee Street about 3:45 a.m. when he heard someone behind him ask, "You looking to buy?"

Mr. Michael said he turned around to find three people -- two of them on foot and the other a teen-ager on a silver bicycle pointing a handgun at him.

The victim said he tried to run but was shot in the neck. He said one of the assailants took his his wallet, which contained $60.

After the assailants fled, Mr. Michael walked a block to Harbor Hospital Center, where he was admitted for surgery and was listed in fair condition last night.

9- No arrests had been made late last night.
