McCallister leads rain-delayed BC

ENDICOTT, N.Y. -- Blaine McCallister, unfazed by a chilling drizzle, shot a 7-under 64 for a one-stroke lead in the rain-delayed first round of the BC Open yesterday.

McCallister made seven birdies at the par-71 En-Joie Golf Club, but endured a 3 1/2 -hour delay that prevented nearly half the field from completing the round.

The 75 players will finish today before the second round of the 72-hole tournament.
