A 35-year-old Pasadena woman who told investigators that her husbandwas accidentally shot in their home was charged Friday with the shooting.

Renee Thieme, of the 500 block of Riverside Drive, was beingheld in the Blair County (Pa.) Detention Center, said county police spokesman Officer V. Richard Molloy.

Molloy said Renee Thieme went to her parents' home in Altoona, Pa., shortly after the Sept. 5 shooting.

Mark Alexander Thieme, 29, son of Circuit Judge Raymond G. Thieme Jr., was in stable condition yesterday at University Medical Center's Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Because Mark Thieme was in critical condition and had undergone surgery for a collapsed lung, detectives could not question him until Friday, police said.

Mark Thieme's version of events were substantially different than his wife's, police said.

Police said he told investigators that the couple was having an argument and his wifewent into the bedroom. She walked out into the hallway a few minuteslater with a 12-gauge shotgun and shot him in the chest, Molloy saidMark Thieme told police.

Renee Thieme called police right after the shooting and was very upset and crying, police said.

In her initial interview, police said, she told investigators that her husband was showing her the gun and was handing it to her when it went off.

After questioning Mark Thieme, investigators notified the Blair County Sheriff's Department, which arrested Renee Thieme Friday evening.

Molloy said Renee Thieme was expected to have an extradition hearing yesterday. If she waives extradition, she could be brought back to Anne Arundel County immediately.
