Pasadena Man Shot Following Argument

A 21-year-old man was listed in stable condition at University Medical Center in Baltimore yesterday after being shot in the abdomen Saturday morning as he stood in the doorway of his Pasadena home.

Police say Edward Joseph Williams, of the 7700 block of Lee Drive, was shot at about 11:53 a.m. after answering his door and briefly arguing with a 21-year-old man, also of Pasadena.

Police said that after the shooting, the suspect returned to his car and drove home, where he called police.

The man, John Julius Brown Jr., of the 7700 block of Ford Road, waited for police to arresthim. He was charged with assault with intent to murder.

Williams'father took his injured son to the Riviera Beach Fire Department. After being taken by ambulance to University Medical Center, Williams underwent surgery Saturday afternoon.
