Recipient's comments: "The society had advertised for a music director, and I applied and was invited to be a guest conductor for the spring concert, and they chose me. I was overwhelmed, initially, but there's a lot I think I can do with the group. They have two major concerts a year, and the Nov. 17 concert will feature Mozart for the 200th anniversary of his death. The spring 1992 concert will have the JHMI Choral Society and the Maryland Boys Choir doing 'On Guard For Peace' by Prokofiev and some American music."
