Here's what to look for if you're traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

Warren Road at Route 45 will be closed for approximately 30 days. Motorists should follow detour signs.

Bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. For more information, call 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Temporary diversions

Nos. 14, 28 (Cherry Hill), 51 (Cherry Hill), and 64 -- Effective 7 p.m. Friday and continuing until 7 p.m. Sunday, Waterview Avenue between Cherry Hill Road and Sidney Avenue will be closed because of light-rail construction. Southbound via current route on Annapolis Road to Wenburn Street, east on Wenburn, south on Kloman Street, east on Waterview Avenue, then via regular route. Northbound via current route westbound on Waterview to Kloman, north on Kloman, west on Wenburn, west on Russell Street, then via regular route.

Nos. 3, 36

Effective Wednesday and continuing until further notice, The Alameda between 36th and 33rd streets will be closed because of construction between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. only.

No. 3 -- Southbound via regular route to Loch Raven Boulevard and 36th Street, west on 36th, left on Loch Raven, west on 33rd, then via regular route. No change northbound.

No. 36 -- Southbound via regular route to 36th and Loch Raven, south on Loch Raven, east on 33rd, south on The Alameda, then via regular route. No change northbound.

Route change

No. 210 (Cape St. Claire/U.S. 50 service) -- Effective immediately, the regular route of the No. 210 Cape St. Claire/U.S. 50 service will be changed. New route will be southbound east and southbound on College Parkway. The last stop will be opposite Commander Way. Northbound from the layover point west and north on College Parkway on the far side of Commander Way, then via regular route.

Continuing diversion

No. 28 (Mondawmin and Northern branches) -- Until further notice, buses will travel the following route due to construction of the Central Light Rail Line. Buses will not operate on Park Avenue between Howard and McMechen streets. Northbound via regular route to Russell and Conway streets, north on Russell, north on Paca Street, east on Baltimore Street, north on Eutaw Street, east on McMechen, north on Park, then via regular route. Southbound via regular route to Park and McMechen, west on McMechen, south on Eutaw, west on Lombard Street, then via regular route.
