Baltimore County police today were searching for a man who raped a 75-year-old Randallstown woman in her dining room and threatened her with a kitchen knife.

The rape occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. yesterday after the woman had returned home from shopping, police said.

As she entered the house, a man was in her kitchen. He grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her, police said.

The man raped the woman in the dining room and left the house, taking only the knife with him, police said.

The woman received minor cuts to her hand from the knife, police said. They weren't sure if she received them attempting to resist.

After the rapist left, the woman called police. She was taken by ambulance to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she was treated and released, police said.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry. They said the woman wasn't sure if the intruder followed her inside the house ** or was already there.

The rapist is described as a black, 20 to 30, about 6 feet 3 with a thin build, police said. He was well-groomed and had no facial hair, police said.

The rapist was wearing a dark shirt, but there was no other description of his clothing, police said.
