TIMONIUM — Shelly Yingling, 18, of Manchester won the 4-H Fashion Revue's grandchampion title at the Maryland State Fair.
Yingling's regular-wear outfit was a fitted, crepe, blue and white, polka dot dress with a dropped waist and a flared hem.
She also wore a straw hat with matching fabric.
About 70 4-H'ers modeled the latest fashions in the show. The theme of the revue was "Proud to Be" -- a tribute to America.
Contestants were judged on their poise, awareness of current fashion, garment construction andtotal appearance of the outfit with accessories.
