September 09, 1991

A 29-year-old Pasadena man was charged Friday with possessing 60 grams of cocaine, which has a street value of $6,000.

A police officer stopped the man at Gov. Ritchie Highway and 6th Avenue in Glen Burnie at 12:26 p.m. after seeing a drug transaction.

Police say the man gave the officer permission to search him. Theman turned over a small plastic container with a small scale and white powder, police said.

After handing the items over to the officer, the man tried to run away, but was quickly apprehended, police said. He was searched, and police found more cocaine.

Jeffrey Alan Britt, of the 8200 block Elvaton Drive, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, police said.
