1. Mt. Nebo Wildlife Management Area

Location: 3 miles north of Oakland, Garrett County

Size: 1,763 acres

Select species: White-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, woodcock, wild turkey, squirrel, cottontail rabbit, wood duck, black duck and mallard

2. Deep Creek Lake State Park

Location: Thayerville, Garrett County

Size: Hunting is permitted on 1,200 acres

3. Potomac State Forest/Garrett State Forest

Locations: Potomac State Forest is located between the towns of Westernport and Oakland in Garrett County. Garrett State Forest is west of Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County.

Sizes: Potomac is 10,416 acres; Garrett is 6,781 acres.

4. Savage River State Forest
