North Arundel Hospital's Chief of Psychiatry Marshall E. Belaga, M.D., has received additional certification in geriatric psychiatry fromthe American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
To receive this honor, Belaga passed a written examination prepared by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and demonstrated to the board that heis providing care to geriatric patients in a physician-clinical practice.
Another psychiatrist on North Arundel's staff, Lawrence Adler, M.D., also became certified in geriatric psychiatry. Belaga is chief ofpsychiatry for the hospital's 19-bed Adult Psychiatric Unit and has a private practice in Glen Burnie.
