Ocean Pines car show slated

Automobile enthusiasts are gearing up for the annual Fall Flea Market and Classic Car Show in Ocean Pines Saturday. Dozens of classic cars will be on display at the sports area along Route 589 from noon to 3 p.m. The flea market, with about 60 vendors, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

5/8 Don't miss the comedy "My Fat Friend" at the Commander Boardwalk Cabaret Dinner Theater on the boardwalk at 14th Street. The show will be presented nightly except Sundays through Sept. 26. Cost is $12.50, which is added to the price of dinner, ranging from $9 to $17. Call 289-6166.

Billiard players 'cue' up for tourney

The third annual State Nineball Open Championships will take place Saturday and next Sunday at Gentleman Jim's Billiards on the corner of Baltimore Avenue and Worcester Street in Ocean City. The championship is sanctioned by the Professional Billiard Tournament Association. First prize is $1,000, and participants must enter by tomorrow. Call 289-6738.
