A memorial service for Nancy Jean Pfanstiel of Glen Burnie will takeplace at 2 p.m. today at Elvaton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
Mrs. Pfanstiel, 45, died Sunday at Johns Hopkins Hospital of leukemia.
The Nebraska native lived locally for 15 years and attended the Elvaton Baptist Church, where she was a member of the sanctuary choir and director of the children's choir.
Mrs. Pfanstiel is survived by her husband, Roger W. Pfanstiel; her mother, W. Carol Howerter; twodaughters, Sarah Pfanstiel and Julie Pfanstiel, and a son, Kevin Pfanstiel, all of Glen Burnie; and two brothers, Thomas Howerter of Golden, Colo., and Ronald Howerter of Osh Kosh, Neb.

Mr. Platzke died at home Sept. 3 after a long illness.
Mr. Platzke is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jean Platzke; six daughters, Elaine Klaisuis of California, Mary K. McMannis of Glen Burnie, Lois Mann of Reisterstown, Sarah L. Huggins of West Virginia, Brenda Jo Browning of Pasadena, Kathleen Ciony of Gaithersburg; two sons, Noel F. Platzke Jr. of Ocean City, and Micheal E. Platzke of Laurel; onebrother, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by herhusband of 63 years, Harry W. Nelson; a daughter, Faye Kerr of Chrisfield; two brothers, William Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., and Alva Landonof Chrisfield; a sister, Laura Adams of Princess Anne; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
