Robert John Gray of Pasadena died Aug. 28 at Chesapeake Manor Nursing Home in Arnold.
Born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Mr. Gray, 86,received a bachelor's degree in 1928 and a master's degree in 1930 from Queens University in Belfast. He worked in several textile companies in England, Scotland, Canada, Brazil and the United States.
Mr. Gray, a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Glen Burnie, was an avid mountain climber and hiker and climbed Mount Ranier, Mount Hood and Mount Washington, among others.
He is preceded in death by his late wife, Vivian Storey Gray.
Survivors include three children, Susan Sexton of Pasadena, Mairgread O'Meara of Webster, Mass., and Vivian Donalee Olson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a brother, Norman Gray of Belfast; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service for Evelyn E. Forsht of Glen Burnie took place Aug. 31 at Singleton Funeral Home. Burial followed the service at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Forsht, 80, died Aug. 28 at North Arundel Hospital.
The Pennsylvania native lived locally for 51 years and was a lifetime member of the National PTA and was previously active in the Glen Burnie Fire Department Auxiliary.
Mrs. Forsht is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert I. Forsht; two sons, Robert K. Forsht of Columbia and Edward I. Forsht of Glen Burnie; three daughters, Joanne Behegan, Diane Sapp and Judith A. Earnest, all of Glen Burnie; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
