Man sought in shooting death

September 03, 1991

Baltimore County police today were seeking a 22-year-old suspect in the Labor Day weekend slaying of a Lansdowne man who was shot during an apparent drug-related incident on the parking lot outside his apartment building in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle.

Police declined to name the suspect until he is arrested.

The victim, Julius Donte Evans, 18, of the Lake in the Woods Apartments in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle, was found by police from the Wilkens District about 10 p.m. Friday lying in the hallway outside his apartment.

Police said Evans was shot at least once in the chest.

Moments before Evans was found, police said, residents of the apartment building heard gunshots coming from a nearby parking lot and saw Evans stagger toward the building.

Police said Evans was taken by ambulance to the Shock-Trauma Unit in Baltimore, where he died at 12:03 a.m. Saturday.
