Coach's outlook: "I'm guessing we'll end up somewhere in the second half of the league. We're learning new systems both ways (offense and defense), and we'll be putting new stuff in as lateas the sixth or seventh week of the season. Anything can happen. It's just a matter of the time we need playing together."

Howard County Sun outlook: The Gladiators will probably experience severe growing pains early on. Besides learning Ashwell's new schemes, Glenelg's newcomers easily outnumber the returning starters. A .500 season wouldbe a major accomplishment in Ashwell's rookie season.
