September 01, 1991

Coach: Tom Marron, fourth year.

Assistants: Sam Martin, Larry Fox.

Last year's record: 1-9.

Returnees: Jeff Graybeal (sr., QB), Curtis Carter (sr., OT, DT), Jim Andrews (sr., FB), Greg Brown (sr., OT, DT), Tom Burdsall (sr., HB), Jeff Fox (so., WB), Mike Gibson (so.,WB), Mark Grimsley (so., TE, DE), Patrick Hartsfield (jr., C), Jeff Moody (sr., OT, DT), Kevin Sconion (sr., C), Gary Wales (sr., G), Robert Williams (sr., OT, DT).

Top Newcomers: John Grimsley (sr., TE), Tim Hartwig (jr., TE), Robert Hunter (sr., TE), Chad Packard (sr., TE).

Coach's outlook: If we can get a couple guys who've been hanging back into the fold, we could have a heck of a team -- or we couldbe terrible. We're still sitting on the fence. We have some experience but we lack skill position kids.

Harford County Sun's outlook: Marron fights the same battle every year, the battle of numbers. He'snow carrying 17 players, but is hoping a few who came out for a day or two might return once classes start. Offensively, the Warriors have one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Graybeal, but the question is whether there will be any blocking for him. Several linemen, especially Carter (6-2, 295), have experience, but Graybeal spent a lot of time on his back last year. Since Carter and Graybeal are the only starters back, the Warriors don't have any proven backs or receivers. Defensively, the Warriors also have a lot of questions, especially in the backfield. Unless Marron gets a lot of help from those mystery men he hopes will turn out Tuesday, the Warriors could be in foranother long season.
