ROBBERY: Central District -- Laura Ann Butera, of the 600 block of Park Ave., reported she was in the 400 block of George St. Tuesday night when she was accosted by two men who robbed her of property valued at nearly $40.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Druid Hill Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through a kitchen window and stole property valued at more than $1,400.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that property valued at $400 was stolen from a dwelling in the 1800 block of Guilford Ave. after someone entered through the kitchen window.

ASSAULT: Central District -- Earl Hollstead, of the 1300 block of Myrtle Ave., reported that during an incident near his home Tuesday night he was assaulted by two men, one with a .32-caliber revolver. Police said that during the incident, the unarmed man told the gunman to shoot Hollstead. Police said the gunman didn't and that both men then fled.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Barbara Outlaw, of the 600 block of N. Bouldin St., reported she was in the 700 block of Druid Hill Ave. early yesterday when she became involved in an argument with a man. Outlaw told police the man suddenly grabbed her purse and fled.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 800 block of St. Paul St. reported that someone broke into his apartment by climbing through a bathroom window off the fire escape and stole a compact disc player, VCR and a suitcase, all valued at $700.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Police yesterday arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with stealing property valued at more than $2,000 from a car that was parked in the 300 block of W. Lombard St. Police said the victim, Joyce Tandlich, a resident of New York, reported that someone had broken into her car and had stolen a suitcase containing more than $800 worth of jewelry and nearly $2,000 worth of antique buttons. Later, police arrested Mark A. Jennings, of the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St., and charged him with grand theft. Police said Jennings was held overnight at the police station pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner. Police said all of Tandlich's property was recovered.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Gregory Berg, of the 4300 block of Springwood Ave., told police that someone and stole 20 goldfish valued at $300 from a pond in his back yard.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Deidra Schmidt, of the 900 block of E. 36th St., reported that someone stole her multi-speed bike valued at $400 from her back yard.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of B & B Motors in the 600 block of E. 25th St. reported that someone broke into the garage by forcing open a door and stole an electric drill valued at more than $70. Later, police arrested Lester Ash, of the 400 block of Whitridge Ave., and charged him with the burglary. Police said Ash was held overnight at the Eastern District pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Ray Augustyniak, of the 3400 block of Kenyon Ave., reported that while he was in the 2800 block of Mayfield Ave. someone stole his 26-inch mountain bike, valued at nearly $200.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 7000 block of Marietta Ave. reported someone broke into her home yesterday and stole an AM-FM stereo receiver and a 19-inch TV. Police said the property was valued at $600 and that at least six youths seen leaving the house with the property were being sought.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said property valued at more than $800 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 6200 block of Loch Raven Blvd. after someone entered by breaking the glass of a sliding door. Police said the burglar escaped with a gold wedding band, a gold ring, coins and a jade necklace.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Charles Challone, of the 4200 block of Loch Raven Blvd., reported he was walking near his home shortly before midnight Monday when he was approached from behind by a man who forced him to give up his wallet. Police said Challone complied and that the robber fled with more than $60.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in the 4400 block of Belair Road reported that someone broke into the chapel by breaking a stained-glass window and then removed a small sum of money from a secured container near the alter.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Kevin Markline, of the 2800 block of Ailsa Ave., reported that someone entered his home and stole his wallet and a ring. Markline told police the property was valued at more than $1,000 and that he suspects three men he knows.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a man who assaulted two people by pointing a handgun at them during an argument in the 1600 block of Liljones Court at Hollander Ridge. Police said the man pointed the gun at Claude Parker and Tanya Johnson, both of the 1700 block of Jack Fisher Court, yesterday. No one was injured.
