The following residents of Anne Arundel County have been honored fortheir achievements:

* Sgt. Wayne L. Turpin has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal.

Turpin is a cannon crewman at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He is the son of Linda L. and Wayne F. Turpin of Glen Burnie.

The sergeant is a 1985 graduate of Andover High School.

* Airman 1st Class Michael A. Peterson has been decorated with the Air Force Achievement Medal.

An apprentice radio communications analysis specialist, the airman is stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan.

Peterson is the sonof Kay P. and Kirk Moirof 7112 Apple Ave., Jessup. He is a 1987 graduate of Meade Senior High School, Fort George G. Meade.

* Staff Sgt. David Johnson has been decorated with the Air Force Achievement Medal.

He is a radio communications analysis specialist at RAF Chicksands, Shefford, England. Johnson is the son of Delmar D. and Kathleen Johnson of the 100 block of Longpoint Road, Stevensville.

His wife, Elizabeth, is originally from Annapolis. The sergeant is a 1974 graduate of Severna Park Senior High School
