More than 56 percent of callers to SUNDIAL say the Scholastic Aptitude Test is a fair measure of a student's likely performance in college. Of 393 callers, 221 supported that position, and 172, or 43 percent, said the SAT is not a fair measure of a student's likely performance.
Of 392 callers, 77 percent, or 304 callers said that declining scores reflect on the quality of schooling, while 22 percent, or 88 callers, said the scores do not reflect on the quality of schooling.
"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
