County police are investigating a report that a man in his 60s assaulted and raped a 14-year-old girl who had been walking home from a friend's house in North Laurel Thursday.
Police said the girl was walking home alone from a friend's house in Whiskey Bottom Apartments at about 12:30 a.m. when a car stopped and a man got out and followed her to the 9700 block of Covered Wagon Drive.
The man then struck the girl in the head, pushed her to the ground and raped her in the wooded area, police said.
The girl was taken to Howard County General Hospital, where she was treated for minor bruises and released.
Police described the attacker as a heavyset white male between 60 and 70 years old, driving an old, off-white Ford Torino that had a yellow passenger-side door with a long blue decalwith a stripe pattern.
Police said Friday they had no suspects.
LAUREL MOTEL CLERK ROBBED AT KNIFEPOINT
A Laurel motel clerk was assaulted and robbed Wednesday night by a man armed with a knife, county police said.
The clerk reported that the man entered the Econo Lodge Inn, of the 9700 block of U.S. 1, at 9:45 p.m. and demanded money from the cash register, police said.
A struggle began after the man pulled out a small knife. The two wrestled to the ground and the man jabbed the clerk twice in the
abdomen with the knife, police said.
The victim reported she was also choked by the man, who took an undisclosed amount of money from the register.
Police said the victim received minor injuries and was treated and released at Greater Laurel-Beltsville Hospital.
3RD SUSPECT ARRESTED IN UNDERCOVER 'RIP-OFF'
County police arrested a third suspect late Thursday in the Wednesday "drug rip-off" of an undercover county police officer on a Columbia pathway.
Police charged David Sean Alston, 21, of no fixed address, with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of conspiracy, two counts of assault with intent to rob and two counts of assault with intent to murder.
Police from Howard and Baltimore counties arrested Alston at a home on the first block of West Bend Court of Woodlawn in Baltimore County late Thursday.
Two other suspects, Milton Bullock of the 5200 block of Woodstove Lane in Columbia and Christopher Paul Young of the 5200 Block of Thunderhill Road,both 19, were arrested earlier Thursday.
Police said they first captured and questioned Bullock, who admitted conspiring to rob Det. Michael Oles during a drug purchase, but did not realize he was a police officer.
Police said Oles had arranged to make a drug purchase and was being led along a pathway when several masked men jumped him and an unidentified person accompanying him and struck his head with a blunt object.
They took a wallet, $27, a watch and a paging device from the detective and $350 from the other victim.
The two men were treated for minor injuries at Howard County General Hospital andreleased.
Bullock faces two counts each of robbery and conspiracy; Young faces two counts each of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to rob, conspiracy and robbery with a deadly weapon. All three men were all held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
STRANDED MAN GIVEN RIDE, THEN ASSAULTED
A Damascus man was punched in the face androbbed Wednesday by a man who offered him a ride home after his car broke down in Columbia, county police said.
The victim reported that he had pulled over at 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Twin Rivers Road and Governor Warfield Parkway when an unidentified man offered him assistance, police said.
The man offered to give the victima ride home in exchange for gas money, and the motorist agreed.
Police said the man stopped off at Stevens Forest Exxon to buy gas. While the victim was washing his face in the restroom, the man punched him in the face, police said.
The man then took the victim's moneyand left in his car. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention, police said.

Pathway behind Dasher Green Elementary School, Aug. 19: A man wearing only tennis shoes was seen standing on the pathway. He was described as a heavy 5-foot-6 white male in his 30s with brown curly hair.
Mall in Columbia parking lot, Aug. 19: A 1983 Toyota Celica was stolen sometime between 1:30p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Locust Park swimming pool, Aug. 20: Cash, sodaand ice cream were stolen from a supply room
