Here's your chance to sing
If you have ever wanted to be like Rod Stewart or Bonnie Raitt, here's your chance.
On Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday night at the Commander Showcase Cafe on the boardwalk at 14th Street, the audience is invited on stage to lip sync a song using a Laser Karaoke. The Japanese music machine can modulate a voice and make a star out of the, ah, most tone-deaf singer.
It promises to turn, "almost complete monotones into overnight sensations -- at least in the minds of the singer's family and friends," said Gary Weber, club manager.
