CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- Jockeys Lillian "Mich" Kuykendall and Glenn Reeder will be sidelined four weeks and three months, respectively, as a result of injuries sustained in a two-horse mishap Wednesday afternoon at the Charles Town Races.
The incident occurred in the 10th race when Kuykendall's mount, Romp Home, broke down during the run through the backstretch in the seven-furlong race, throwing the rider to the track. Reeder, aboard Big Ace, was unseated while attempting to avoid the falling horse and jockey.
