Gertrude K. Brenton

Gertrude K. Brenton, 82, a Baltimore native who moved from Wiltondale to Fort Myers, Fla., three years ago, died Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital of complications after surgery.

A memorial Mass for Mrs. Brenton will be offered at 5 p.m. tomorrow at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Towson.

The former Gertrude Kleinfelter married Charles B. Brenton Sr., who had been a Western Maryland Railway executive. He died in 1983.

She was an active member of the Women's Civic League.

Mrs. Brenton is survived by two sons, Charles Bowman Brenton Jr. of Towson and Timothy B. Brenton of Marblehead, Mass.; two sisters, Genevieve Brady of Ellicott City and Margaret Creamer of Shrewsbury, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

The family suggested memorial contributions to the National Down's Syndrome Congress, 1800 Dempster St., Park Ridge, Ill. 60068.
