Bays Seek Backing

John Liparini, founder and president of the American Professional Soccer League champion Maryland Bays, has announced that the club is seeking additional investors for the 1992 season.

Because of their acceptance in the U.S. Soccer Federation's Professional Division, all APSL clubs will be required to expand their budgets for next season and beyond.

Among the additions will be a fully staffed, year-round front office; eight to 12 players under contract full-time, and a stadium thatcan accommodate 6,000 to 10,000 fans.

The Bays are in discussionswith the state and Howard and Prince George's counties to identify and finance a venue that will meet the USSF professional criteria for stadiums.
