Simulcast WYST-AM/FM (1010 and 92.3), which has been floundering in the ratings, changed its format Friday from uptempo adult contemporary to "rhythmic" contemporary hits radio, featuring the likes of Madonna, Paula Abdul and R.E.M.
The station, which has changed its identification to "92 Q" in anticipation of Federal Communications Commission approval of new call letters, will target listeners ages 18 to 34.
