* Allen: Aug. 4-11, 1980; Caribbean and Texas; 272 dead.

* Juan: Oct. 26 to Nov. 6, 1985; Southeast U.S.; 97 dead.

Gilbert: Sept. 10-18, 1988; Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula; 300 dead; 3 deaths in Texas.
