Police Issue Sketch Of Man Sought In Attempted Rape

Police released a composite sketch last week of a suspect sought in an assault and attempted rape in White Hall last month.

Investigators at the county Sheriff's Office say the attempted rape occurred at9:45 p.m. July 29 at a house in the 3100 block of White Hall Road.

Harford County Crime Solvers, a non-profit group, is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.

Investigators gave the following account of the attack:

A man knocked on the door of the house and, when the door was opened, forced his way in. He chased a resident to an upstairs bedroom.

The victim was able to escape uninjured.

The suspectwas seen fleeing the residence. No weapons were used in the attack.

The suspect is described by police as a white male, 6 feet tall, 19 to 20 years old, with shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a beer logo and blue jeans.
