County police have charged two Annapolis women with possession of marijuana after police said they found the drug in their South County motel room Monday.
Capathia Ferguson, 30, and Iris Surgeon, 30, both of the 1400 block Tyler Avenue, also were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators said they received reports of drug activity in a South County motel room. They checked the criminal backgrounds of the women and found an outstanding warrant for Ferguson.
When they entered the hotel room to arrest Ferguson for failing to appear in court,they found a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Police wouldnot give the name of the hotel.
POLICE IDENTIFY VICTIMS OF TUESDAY CAR CRASH
County police have identified the two people killed in a fiery car crash early Tuesday morning.
Kenneth Brenton Crowell II,20, of the 9100 block Montpelier Drive in Laurel, and Douglas John Celentano, 21, of the 8900 block Montpelier Drive in Laurel, were pronounced dead shortly after the 2:17 a.m. accident, police said.
According to the police report, Crowell was driving his 1987 Chevrolet north on Brockbridge Road just south of Route 198. Police said Crowelllost control of the car, which burst into flames after hitting a tree.
Both men were badly burned, police said.
Police blamed alcohol and high speed for the accident.
