Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Central District -- Karl Wolfe was approached from behind in the 1900 block of St. Paul St. by two men who snatched his wallet and fled at about 7:30 p.m. yesterday.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone broke down the front door to the home of Charles Bentz, in the 1200 block of Eutaw Place, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. yesterday and stole $1,000 worth of coins.

ROBBERY: Central District -- James McKinney, of the 2400 block of N. Calvert St., was in the 100 block of Ware St. at about 10 p.m. yesterday when two men approached him, displayed guns and robbed him of $140 before fleeing.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police are searching for a man who struck Eugia Johnson, of the 1500 block of Woodyear St., in the face with a stick. Johnson was near her home at 2:25 a.m. yesterday when she was attacked. She identified the man to police.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Donna Jones, of the 2700 block of Winchester St., was near her truck in the 2500 block of W. Franklin St. just before midnight when two men confronted her. One of them brandished a handgun and said, "Give me your money," police said. The men took $84 in cash and her 1984 Ford Bronco.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said two armed women approached Richard Towson, of the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave., near his home at 2:05 a.m. yesterday and shot him in the face. He was in fair condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Antonio Frazier, of the 1000 block of N. Mount St., was in the 1300 block of N. Fulton Ave. at about 7:30 p.m. yesterday when a man approached him with a gun and robbed him of $157 in cash and valuables.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- John Spoler, of the 2100 block of Dobler Ave., reported that someone entered his home by forcing open the kitchen door between 2:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. yesterday and took a 35mm Minolta camera and accessories valued at $462.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Police said Joe Thomas, of the 3000 block of Belmont Ave., was in the 800 block of E. 25th St. at 7:15 p.m. yesterday when he became involved in an argument with another man. The man struck him in the face with a pipe, causing several cuts, police said.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Christopher Chiles, of the 5600 block of Alameda Circle, was in the 3900 block of Sinclair Lane at about 9 p.m. yesterday when two men approached him from behind. One of them placed a handgun above Chiles' right eye while the other took his wallet, which contained cash and food stamps worth $620.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Russell Brown, of the 4100 block of Westview Road, discovered early yesterday that

someone had forced the lock off his garage door and removed two bicycles. Brown placed the loss at $2,100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone removed a 1972 University of Baltimore class ring from the desk drawer of Richard Riha, of the 6600 block of Harford Road, on Aug. 7 or Aug. 8. Riha reported the incident to police yesterday.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men confronted Crystal Ferguson, of the 2800 block of Cold Spring Lane, in the 4800 block of Harford Road at 7:10 p.m. yesterday. The men took her purse, which contained cash and other property worth $340.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Susan Mash, of the 5900 block of Greenhill Ave., reported that someone entered her home through a basement window between 12:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. yesterday and stole a stereo and guitar from her dining room. The items were valued at $480.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A juvenile was arrested on charges of stealing a 20-inch color television set from the home of Donna Collins, of the 1100 block of Metzger Way, between 1:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Police are searching for a man who shot two people early yesterday. Judy O'Neal, of the 5200 block of Wilton Heights Ave., and James Matthews, of the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave., were taken to Sinai Hospital for gunshot wounds. Police said a man fired a shotgun at O'Neal's home at 12:20 a.m. yesterday. O'Neal was wounded in the calf and Matthews was hit in the stomach.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- James Faison, of the 2400 block of McElderry St., was in the 2200 block of N. Ellamont St. at about 2:40 a.m. yesterday when two armed men robbed him of $170 in cash and other property.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Three people told police they were robbed in a home in the 3800 block of Park Heights Ave. The victims were William Jordan, Gregory Jordan and Schenay Jordan, all of the Park Heights Avenue address. They told police that two men came to the residence at 2:05 a.m. and stole property of undetermined value.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Sahra Lake, of the 2600 block of W. Lafayette Ave., told police that a man approached her in the 1200 block of Mondawmin Concourse, pointed a gun at her and robbed her of an undetermined amount of cash.
