Concert schedule

All concerts during the International Double Reed Society convention are open to the public. All seating is limited, however. The ticket price for a weekday concert is $10. Concerts on Saturday are free. For details and reservations, call 830-2836.

Today 4-5:30 p.m.: Pennsylvania Quintet performs in Towson State University's Fine Arts Concert Hall; trio concert in Fine Arts Building's main theater.

Friday 10:30 a.m.-noon: concert in main theater.

1-4 p.m.: F. Gillet Competition for oboists in concert hall.

4-5:30 p.m.: Oboe concert in concert hall featuring J. Arnaud; bassoon concert featuring C. Wealt, J. Reinhard, W. Davis, H. Shin, R. Boyd, C. Miller.

8 p.m.: Women composers concert in Stephens Hall Theatre. (Will be broadcast on National Public Radio, WEAA, 88.9-FM.)

Saturday 10-11:30 a.m.: Concert featuring USAF Woodwind Quintet, the Winds of Washington Reed Trio in Fine Arts Concert Hall.

11:30-noon: Oboe lecture and performance featuring Bach oboe concertos in main theater.

1:30 p.m.: Concerto concert featuring USAF Chamber Orchestra in Stephens Hall Theatre.

8 p.m.: More than 400 double reed players perform works, including Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks" in Stephens Hall Theatre.
