Ladner wins three races on seven mounts at Laurel

LAUREL -- Jockey Clarence J. Ladner III scored a hat trick yesterday at Laurel Race Course, winning with three of his seven mounts.

Ladner scored in the two most important races of the day. In the fifth race, the second half of the Double Triple, he rode Evercart to his maiden victory. The horse paid $13.

There were no Double Triple winners, and the carry-over into Thursday's card is $102,004.90.

The feature race, the Shield Bearer Purse, was won by Mike's Cavil. The horse paid $19.80, $8.60 and $5.60. Rampoldi was second and paid $6.40 and $3.60. Arlington Heights was third and paid $3.

Ladner capped off the day by taking the 10th race aboard King's Snow and paid $10.80.
