Police Unable To Name Victims Of Car Crash

Police are trying to identify two people killed when their car hit atree and burst into flames yesterday morning in Laurel.

Investigators said the occupants of the car were burned beyond recognition after the 2:17 a.m. accident.

Police said the driver of the car was traveling north on Brock Bridge Road just south of Route 198 when the car went over the top of ahill, crossed a center line and hit a tree.

Beer cans were found in the back seat of the car, and investigators believe speed and alcohol were the cause of the accident.

MAN, 20, CHARGED WITH DRUG DISTRIBUTION

An Annapolis man was charged with distribution of cocaine and LSD after police said he tried to set up a drug deal Monday.

County police said Robin Rainey Waldrop, 20, of the unit block of Bens Drive, was arrested after he tried to arrange a transaction with undercover narcotics detectives at Hillsmere Shopping Center.

MAN THREATENS POLICE WITH A LOADED RIFLE

A Brooklyn Park man barricaded himself in his home yesterday morning after pointing a loaded rifle at officers, county police said.

Police said officers were called to thehome of Raymond Alvin Crandall, 58, of the 4600 block of Kramme Avenue, for a disorderly conduct complaint.

When officers arrived at about12:30 a.m., Crandall pointed the rifle at the officers and went inside. Members of the Special Operations Section who went into the house at about 4 a.m. found Crandall asleep in bed with a loaded rifle,police said.

He was charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and assault.

Odenton:

Unit block of Blue Water Boulevard: Aug. 9, entry gained through the door. Nothing taken.

Severn:

8300 block of Dubbs Drive: Aug. 8, entry gained through the door. Unknown property taken.

Severna Park:

600 block of Center Drive: Aug. 12, entry gained through the window. Jewelry taken. Total loss: $8,500.
