Baltimore City

RAPE: Central District -- A woman reported to police that her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment in West Baltimore and forced her inside. She said the man kept her there from 12:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. yesterday and that he beat her with his fists and sexually assaulted her. Police said the woman fled when the man went to the bathroom. She arrived at the police station with bruises on her face. She was treated for her injuries at Mercy Medical Center. Police were investigating the incident, but no arrest has been made.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Robin Betts, of the 500 block of Half Mile Court, reported that she was walking near her home at 8:45 p.m. yesterday when two men approached her with handguns. They demanded her jewelry and took a herringbone gold chain, three sets of gold earrings, $70 and $167 in food stamps. The total value of her loss was $1,687.

THEFT: Central District -- Police believe a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Druid Hill Avenue and Lanvale Street, entered the church building between 1 and 2 p.m. yesterday and stole a snare drum worth $250.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Valendino Gomez, of the 1800 block of E. Pratt St., reported that someone entered his home by forcing open the front door between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. yesterday. The burglar stole a video camera and coins.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone forced open the side door to the home of Richard Wellen, in the 500 block of N. Luzerne Ave., and took a Sharp camcorder, stereo, VCR and television set, all valued at $1,995.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Chris Parr, of the 500 block of N. Front St., reported that a man accosted him at gunpoint near his home at 8:30 p.m. yesterday and ordered him to put his wallet on the ground. The bandit escaped with $51.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Someone entered the unlocked cafeteria office at Francis Scott Key Medical Center, 4940 Eastern Ave., between 11 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. yesterday and removed $2,716 from a safe.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Raphael Serrano, of the 700 block of Oldham St., reported that someone stole a cocktail table from his home between Sunday and yesterday.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Ebae Chambley, of the 700 block of S. Rose St., told police that someone approached her in an alley near her home, displayed a gun and demanded her jewelry. The suspect forced her to the ground, causing bruises to her head. The bandit fled with her school ring, cash and four fried chicken wings.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man approached George Fales in the 1300 block of E. Baltimore St. at 1:20 a.m. yesterday and demanded money. Fales opened his wallet to show he did not have any cash, and the man fled.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Thelma Partlow, of the 100 block of S. Exeter St., reported that she was attacked by a woman who tried to take her purse near her home at 7:12 a.m. yesterday.

SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- Deon Hudson, of the 2200 block of Barclay St., was in fair condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot in the mouth with a .38-caliber handgun in the first block of S. Exeter St. at 12:41 a.m. yesterday.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Mattie Cook, of the 1000 block of Orleans St., reported that a man entered through a kitchen window of her home between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. yesterday and took a radio valued at $100.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Three suspects jumped out of a brown car in the 300 block of Bayview Blvd. and approached James Eliopoulos, of the 500 block of Umbra St., at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. One man placed the victim in a headlock and the others took from him a gold bracelet, a watch, a gold chain and $6. The total loss was $501.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Two men entered Sun's Grocery, in the 2300 block of E. Monument St., and brandished a handgun at 1:35 p.m. yesterday. They robbed the store of $250.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone dug a hole through a plaster wall and entered Buckley's Tavern, in the 800 block of S. Potomac St., between Monday and yesterday and took an undetermined amount of cash.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Glover Williams, of the 1100 block of Orleans St., reported that someone broke into his home through a sliding door and took $4,425 worth of property between 6 p.m. Monday and 4 a.m. yesterday.

CUTTING: Eastern District -- Gwendolyn Johnson, of the 300 block of Federal St., got into an argument with a woman in the 300 block of Dallas St. at 8 p.m. Monday. The woman grabed a butcher knife and cut her on the left arm. Johnson was treated at Maryland General Hospital.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Two people were injured in a shooting late Monday. Troy Richardson, of Joppatowne, and James Lighty, of the 2500 block of Robb St., were in the 200 block of Kennedy Ave. when someone fired a handgun. Richardson was hit in the left leg and Lighty was struck in the chest. Both men were taken to hospitals. No motive was determined.
