Jeannine Weaver has been appointed membership director of the Anne Arundel Trade Council.

Most recently a membership/marketing managerfor the National School Supply & Equipment Association, Weaver has served as assistant fiscal note writer for the Maryland state government and legislative assistant for Citizens Against Government Waste.


County Executive Robert R. Neall has appointed 11 members of the business community to the Economic Development Finance Committee (EDFC).

Members are volunteers from difference business disciplines who possess a general knowledge of the business/finance arena.

Appointed for two-year terms were: William R. McNeil, Westinghouse Electronics Systems Group;

James Triebwasser, Marlene Prendergast & Associates; E. Michael Meyers, Highspire Yacht Service Inc.; James Russell, Severn Graphics Inc.; John Hersman, Anchor Capital Group; and Joseph Johnson of Crownsville, citizens' representative.

Glen Hall, Maryland National Bank; M. Teri Ranieri, Dean Witter Reynolds Inc.; Lou Hyatt, Hyatt Realtors Inc.; Earl DeMaris, Pekins-DeMaris Inc.; and Anthony Lombardo, C.W. Amos & Co. were appointed to three-year terms.

The group is charged with attracting, retaining and expanding business investment, thus enlarging the county's tax base and providing job opportunities.


McCrone Inc. has announced the hiring of Elizabeth J. Scott as the support staff manager at the firm's Annapolis Headquarters.

Scott, who holds an M.B.A. in management from Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, is experienced in management, training and computer systems development. Her duties with McCrone will include supervision of personnel and coordination with engineering and surveying managers on project development and proposals.


Tom Kammerer has been named vice president of operations for the Atlantic Lodging Group and general manager ofthe Annapolis

Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

Kammerer has served in a variety of senior hotel management positions, including general manager of the Peabody Court Hotel in nearby Baltimore.

A well-known face in Annapolis, Kammerer lives in Arnold with his wife.
