Bel Air Blue

Recently, 15 boys comprising the Bel Air 9-10 year old boys baseball Blue team competed in the American Amateur Baseball Congress Regional Baseball Tournament in Waterbury, Conn.

Although we did not win, we did Bel Air proud.

But these boys could not have participated in such a memorable experience had it not been for the generosity of several of Bel Air's businesses and individuals who made contributions toward the expenses.

The Bel Air Blue 9-10 baseball team would like to thank the Lions Club of Bel Air, Auto Village, Dr. Paul D. Chizmar, Gallery Auto Sales, Jones Chrysler Plymouth, Northeastern Plumbing and Heating, Robert O. Ryan (Ryan's Meats), the Scotsman Group(Williams Mobile Offices), the Mothers of Bel Air Baseball, and the Bel Air Recreation Council for their support and generosity.

I am new to this area and attended the Farm Fair for the first time. I was impressed with theamount of community involvement with this event.

There was much to see and do for the admission price. I was most impressed with the "Kidsway" and the activities set up just for the children. There were many sponsors of these free activities. It's nice to see these sponsors give something back to the community residents.

In a time when everyone is complaining about schools, landfills and taxes, I would like to compliment the Farm Fair for some good family entertainment.
