Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Garrison Blvd. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole property valued at more than $600.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Denise Queen, of the 5100 ** block of Elmer Ave., reported she was in the 4100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Tuesday night when a man struck her with his fists and robbed her of a small sum of money.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- Clay Cooper, of the 3600 block of Woodbine Ave., reported that he was attacked near his home Tuesday night by a man who struck him with a baseball bat. Police said Cooper was not seriously injured and no arrest had been made.

CUTTINGS: Northwestern District -- Police said two women were attacked in the 3400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Tuesday night by a man who cut both of them with a knife. Andrea Castle, of the 5200 block of Elmer Ave., and Shawnee Gunther, of the 3400 block of W. Belvedere Ave., were taken by ambulance to Sinai Hospital, where they were treated for lacerations and released. Police said the man was being sought.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Kathy Hampton, of the 3700 block of W. Belvedere Ave., reported she was walking near her home early yesterday when a man came up behind her and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $170.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that a driver for the G.I. Veterans cab company in the 1600 block of E. Preston St. was driving in the 3300 block of Reisterstown Road around 5:30 a.m. yesterday when he was told by a man he had picked up earlier to stop. Police said that when the cabbie stopped the car, the fare grabbed the driver and forced him to give up about $50.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway reported that someone broke into his home by removing an air conditioner from the kitchen window Tuesday or yesterday and stole property valued at nearly $3,000.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Employees of H.F. Huber & Son in the 4200 block of Menlo Drive reported that someone broke a company vehicle while it was parked on company property and stole more than $3,000 worth of lawn furniture.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into the Dolfield Carryout in the 3500 block of Dolfield Ave. on Tuesday or yesterday and stole property valued at $700.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Lee McDuffie, of the 5500 block of Wesley Ave., reported that someone entered the basement of his home yesterday afternoon and removed property valued at nearly $3,300.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police said DeShon Johnson, the 4000 block of Fairview Ave., and John Hill, of the 3800 block of Woodhaven Road, were in the 3500 block of Liberty Heights Ave. around 5 p.m. yesterday when a man with a handgun robbed Johnson of $11. They said no money or property was taken from Hill.

THEFT: Northern District -- Phillip Spain, of the 9700 block of Whiskey Run Road in Laurel, Howard County, told police that while his Dodge truck was parked in the 700 block of E. 34th St., someone broke into it and stole 20 cassette tapes valued at $200.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- Stacy Dickens, of the 700 block of E. 33rd St., reported she was in the 3300 block of Westerwald Ave. Tuesday evening when she was attacked by a man who struck her with a baseball bat. Police said the man escaped and Dickens was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she was treated and released.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police today were seeking the person who broke into a dwelling in the 2700 block of Maryland Ave. by forcing a door and stole cash and property, all valued at nearly $2,000.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 800 block of E. 41st St. reported that someone broke into his home through a basement window yesterday and stole nearly $130.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said two VCRs valued at more than $400 were stolen from a dwelling in the 800 block of E. 41st St. yesterday after someone broke in.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police yesterday arrested a man and were holding him at the station in connection with the burglary of three apartments in the 2800 block of St. Paul St. Police said all the apartments were at 2813 St. Paul St. and that property was believed stolen from only one of the dwellings. Police said the man was arrested near the scene yesterday afternoon without incident.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Joseph Carter, of the 5500 block of Midwood Ave., reported he was in the 5500 block of Ivanhoe Ave. early yesterday when a man who implied he had a handgun robbed him of $200.

THEFT: Northern District -- Kenneth McElroy, of the first block E. 25th St., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home and stole plants valued at more than $100.
