Wanted: women's views on their love/hate relationship with food

August 06, 1991

What is it about women and food?

That's what filmmaker Henry Jaglom explores in a new movie, "Eating," which opens Thursday at the Charles. Some women seem obsessed with the topic: They're either on a diet or feeling guilty because they're not. They make a big deal about having just a tiny piece of cake, but sneak a huge piece later when no one's around. Then there's the thing with chocolate . . .

So tell us: What is your particular food obsession? And how and why do you think it came about? We'd like to hear your story.

Between now and midnight, use a touch-tone phone to call 783-1800 (or 268-7736 from Anne Arundel County.) Once the system answers your call, enter code 4420. This is a local call from the Baltimore area. If you don't have a touch-tone phone, call (301) 332-6060 and ask for Jean Marbella. Look for a Today section article with your responses Thursday.
