SARATOGA SPRING, N.Y. — SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Angel Cordero won three more races yesterday at Saratoga, continuing his amazing resurgence at the age of 48.

He has had 12 winners in the last five days. His winners yesterday were Don't Cross The Law (second race, $35.80), Crestalita (fourth, $7.60) and Two The Twist (ninth, $8.00).

With the victories, he grabbed a three-win lead over Mike Smith in the jockey standings.

"This place brings the best out of me," he said. "I'm up three on him [Smith], so now the pressure's on him. But he's got a lot of ability and has the customers. He can come back."
