Officials rule out foul play in death of Ellicott City man

August 05, 1991

Howard County officials say they do not suspect foul play in the death of a man whose decomposed body was found Saturday by a passerby in a wooded area off Route 32 near West Friendship.

Police said the man is believed to be a 20-year-old Ellicott City resident, but positive identification will be made during an autopsy by the state medical examiner.

Police said a rifle was found lying across the dead man's legs. The body was thought to have been at the scene for several weeks.
