Robert Makofski has been elected to succeed James Moxley Jr. as chairman of the Howard County General Hospital Board of Trustees.

Makofski, an assistant director at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, has been a researcher and administrator at APL since 1957.

FAMILY LIFE DIRECTORS

Five people will begin two-year terms on the board of directors of the Family Life Center Inc. of Columbia.

New members are Robert Dael, senior vice president of Columbia Bank; Dr. C. Robert Goshen, psychiatrist in private practice; Pamela Kumar, CPA with Russell Coburn & Co.; Robert Russell, president of R & R Associates and Harvey Steinman, attorney with Frank, Bernstein, Conaway & Goldman.

SCHINNER NAMED VP

Edward N. Schinner of Highland has been named senior vice president at the Baltimore Aircoil Co. in Jessup. Schinner is a 26-year company veteran.

He began his career as a design engineer.

CUZMANES JOINS LAW FIRM

Paul T. Cuzmanes has joined the law firm of Weinberg and Green. He will have offices in both Columbia and Baltimore and be a member of the litigation department, concentrating on product liability, professional liability and medical malpractice.

6 OUTSTANDING WORKERS

The Columbia Association has announced that the following employees have been recognized for their outstanding service:

Kathleen Andre, director of the Cedar Lane After School Program; Regina Citeroni, lifeguard and aerobics instructor at the Columbia SwimCenter; Cynthia Johnson, director of the Clemens Crossing before- and after-school program; Robert Macavoy, paving foreman and heavy equipment operator in the land development area; Melvin Nolan, weekend supervisor at the Supreme Sports Club; Wanna Smith, in charge of maintenance at the Columbia Athletic Club.

PRICE NAMED MANAGER

Jeffrey S. Price of Ellicott City has been appointed field operations manager of Aladdin Tub & Tile Refinishing.

ERASO SALES CONSULTANT

Esther Eraso has been named sales consultant for the community of Rockburn Township in Ellicott City.

ARTS SOCIETY DIRECTORS

The Advertising & Graphic Arts Society of Howard County has elected new officers and four new members to their board of directors:

President -- Laurel Holland, Holland Design; vice president -- Patrick Mullaly, LDR International Inc.; secretary -- Elaine Plesser, Chaselle Inc.; treasurer --Kenyon Lewis, Color Systems Printing Inc.

The new members of the board, elected to two-year terms, are Bob Holland, Robert S. Holland Design; David J. Jones, Product Marketing International; Elaine Plesser, Chaselle Inc.; Chris Quinn, Chris Quinn Graphic Design Inc.

HASH NOW CONSULTANT

Jennifer Hash has joined the staff of Ellicott City-based Total Construction Services, as a building consultant to the full service contractor.

Hash will be responsible for the firm's marketing activities including new client development and sales.

LINK HEAD OF HALLMARK

Joe Link of Ellicott City has recently been named president of Columbia-based Hallmark Builders. Link co-founded the company in 1985 as a companion organization of Williamsburg Builders.
