Well Wrapped ties up win with record

LAUREL -- Well Wrapped set the second course record in as many days by narrowly winning a $35,000 claiming event on the Laurel Race Course turf yesterday.

The 4-year-old gelding won the seventh race by a head over It's Always You. He completed the 1 1/8 miles in 1 minute, 46 1/5 seconds, shaving two-fifths of a second off the record set in October 1986 by My Big Boy.

On Thursday, Worldly Possession set a record for six furlongs (1:08 1/5) in an allowance race.
