Baltimore City

THEFT: Southern District -- Donald Quido, of the 100 block of 6th St. in Brooklyn, reported that someone broke into his parked car in the 900 block of E. Patapsco Ave. and stole stereo speakers valued at nearly $500.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Park Ave. reported that someone broke into his apartment through an unlocked door and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone broke into the basement of a dwelling in the 2500 block of Brookfield Ave. and stole a furnace valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Central District -- Police investigating the burglary of a liquor store in the 900 block of Whitelock St. yesterday evening arrested a man who broke into the building by knocking a hole in the wall. Police said the man had reached into the opening and had grabbed a bottle of beer inside the liquor store when he was arrested. Police said the man was being held at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police today were seeking the owner of a pickup truck whose license plate begins with the letters WAC in connection with the burglary yesterday of the Cabinet Shop in the 2300 block of Evergreen Ave. Police said someone broke into the shop by kicking out a door panel. Police said it was not known what, if any, property was taken. Police said the vehicle was seen leaving the area shortly before the break-in was discovered.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Carvel Jones, of the 3200 block of Brighton Ave., reported he was seated in a car in the 2400 block of W. North Ave. Sunday night when a man opened fire with a handgun. Police said Jones was hit in the right shoulder, right hip and buttocks and was taken to Bon Secours Hospital. Police said they had no motive for the shooting.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into Zenith Building Services in the 1400 block of W. Baltimore St. and stole a wet-dry vacuum valued at nearly $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of W. Fayette St. reported that copper pipe valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from his home by someone who gained entry by force.

RAPE: Western District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges in connection with a rape that occurred early Sunday inside a house in the first block of N. Catherine St. Police said a woman reported being raped inside the house Sunday by a 33-year-old man. Police said that after the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment, officers investigating the case arrested a suspect.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Charles Wilson, of the 2300 block of Eutaw Place, reported he was in the 2300 block of Madison Ave. yesterday evening when he was stopped by two men, one %% with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said Wilson turned over a money order and cash, all valued at nearly $800, to the gunman and his accomplice. Police said the two men escaped on foot.

RAPE: Northern District -- Police reported a 22-year-old resident of the 1800 block of W. Baltimore St. was raped yesterday in Druid Hill Park. The victim told police she was forced to accompany a man to the park yesterday afternoon where he raped her. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment and released.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 300 block of E. 31st St. reported that someone broke into her home through a window and stole stereo equipment and a clock radio. Police said the burglary occurred yesterday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and that the property was valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered a dwelling in the 3500 block of Greenmount Ave. yesterday and stole a diamond ring, a cassette player and cash. Police said the property had a total value of nearly $5,000 and that entry was gained through a second-floor bathroom window.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Jacqueline McBride, 26, of the 2500 block of Shirley Ave., reported she was in the 3900 block of Pall Mall Road early yesterday when she was accosted by a man with a handgun who demanded her money. Police said the gunman robbed McBride of $10 and escaped on foot.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson District -- A deliveryman for Domino's pizza in the 6300 block of Sherwood Ave. told police he was walking toward a home in the 200 block of Towsontown Court shortly after 10 p.m. yesterday when two men got out of a car and approached him. The deliveryman told police one of the men pulled out a silver-colored handgun and demanded his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice robbed the man of a small sum of money and drove off.
