City police last night arrested three men and were seeking a fourth in the kidnapping and rape of a West Baltimore woman.
The victim, a 20-year-old resident of Saratoga Street, told police she was in the stairwell of her apartment building about 3:30 a.m. yesterday talking to a girlfriend when she was accosted by her former boyfriend, a man she told police kidnapped her last year and drove her to New York.
The woman said the man pointed a gun at her and two friends of his carried her down the stairwell and placed her in a gray Ford. The other woman was not harmed.
The FBI was notified because of the earlier incident, police said.
Police received information that the woman was being held in a room at Town House Motor Hotel in the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road.
When police arrived, a man jumped from a second-floor balcony, accosted a motorist and forced him to drive to Hayward and Park Heights avenues, where the man jumped out.
Police rescued the woman, who had been raped at least once.
While police sought the boyfriend and his accomplices, police spotted the Ford in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave. just before midnight and pursued it for several blocks before its occupants fled.
Police said three men in the car were arrested and were being held on various charges stemming from the kidnapping and rape.
