Activities/hobbies: Swims with the Monocacy Aquatics Club in Frederick County and West Howard Swim Club in Woodbine; enjoys baseball and baseball card collecting, tennis, reading and music

Accomplishments: At 1991 Carroll County Invitationals, he broke the record for 100 individual medley, 50 freestyle, butterfly and backstroke, and came in second in the breast stroke; at the qualifier for the Maryland State Zone Team, he placed fifth in his age group; at the Tri-State Championship in Hagerstown, Washington County, he took first place in butterfly and back, and fourth in individual medley

Recipient's comments: "At the time I broke the records, I didn't expect to break them. I expected to do it at a bigger meet against harder competition because I usually go faster under pressure."
