* Navy Airman Apprentice Dawn M. Bryson, daughter of Robert G. and Colleen R. Kapfer of Westminster, has completed the Aviation Electrician's Mate Course.

During the course, conducted at the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, Tenn., she received introductoryinstruction required to perform scheduled maintenance on naval aircraft, including electrical and electronic instrument systems. Bryson also received instruction to prepare her for further specialized training on electrical and electronic instrument systems.

She is a 1988 graduate of Westminster High School.

* Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher A. George and Navy Fireman Jonathan M. Blair have completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla.

During the eight-week cycle, they were taught general military subjects designed to prepare them for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 occupational fields.

Studies include seamanship, close order drill, naval history and first aid. Personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in physical education and hygiene.

George is the son of June E. George of Mount Airy. A 1989 graduate of Linganore High School, Frederick County, he joined the Navy in April 1991.

Blair is the son of William D. and Barbara Blair of Westminster.The 1990 North Carroll High School graduate joined the Navy in March1991.

* Marine Cpl. John W. Zielinski recently returned from deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Desert Storm while serving with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C.

The son of Joanne G. and John W. Zielinski, he is a1983 graduate of South Carroll High School.
