Hagerstown schedules its annual Frontier Craft Days

At the 19th annual Jonathan Hager Frontier Craft Days next weekend, more than 75 people will demonstrate traditional crafts on the grounds of the 252-year-old Jonathan Hager House and Museum in Hagerstown's City Park.

Visitors can learn how to cut silhouettes and how to make brooms or dolls. Blacksmithing,pottery,woodworking and other crafts that were practiced when Jonathan Hager founded the city in 1762 will be demonstrated. There will be food on sale and live musical entertainment both Saturday and Sunday.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a nominal charge to tour the Hager House. Call (301)739-8393.
